Paula Bergs works primarily as a massage therapist seeing clients on an individual basis. She specializes in addressing soft tissue dysfunction and chronic pain. The primary modality she uses is neuromuscular therapy. With NMT as her base she incorporates a variety of modalities including myofascial release, lymphatic drainage, craniosacral release and mobilization techniques.
Paula teaches NMT seminars nationwide as well as internationally for the International Academy of Neuromuscular Therapies. In addition to teaching NMT she has taught anatomy at a variety of massage schools in the Twin Cities area including Northwestern University of Health Sciences where she currently teaches.
Paula also teaches independent classes in a series of continuing education courses for professionals who work with clients in the fields of massage, bodywork as well as movement therapies. These courses focus on anatomy through building muscles out of clay and mounting them on a model skeleton. She has become known in the Twin Cities as a dynamic teacher of anatomy and physiology bridging these abstract concepts into applied bodywork and movement therapies.
